Professor Dr. Maik Huettinger was born in Regensburg/Bavaria and joined ISM in 2007 and has been teaching courses in Economics and Ethics. From 2012 to 2022 he served as the Director of the International Business and Communication Program. Since 2022 he works as a full professor of economics at ESSCA School of Management (ESSCA) in Angers/France.
Dr. Maik Huettinger graduated with an EMBS (European Master of Business Sciences) from the University of Regensburg and received a PhD in Economics from the Jagiellonian University in Kraków- the 13th oldest University in continuous operation in the world (1364).
He has an interdisciplinary research portfolio and is mostly interested in heterodox approaches to studying complex economic phenomena. In addition, his research investigated the impact of Industry 4.0 on the labor market and the society. Through the years, Dr. Maik Huettinger has been teaching internationally at more than 25 Universities and Institutions; served multiple times as an expert for Lithuanian and foreign accreditation institutions and has been the principle investigator of international research projects.
At ISM he holds multiple outstanding lecturer awards, including 4 times the Teacher Of The Year Award.
