Congratulations to Kristina Griškevičienė, PhD student in Economics at ISM, for becoming a participant in the prestigious European Central Bank Graduate Program (ECB GP) for talented doctoral students who have just defended their dissertation or are in their final year. 2020 about 1000 candidates from all over Europe took part in the competition for the program, 15 participants were selected. During the long selection, not only technical and economic knowledge but also psychological aspects were tested.

In the first year of the program, Kristina works in the Market-based finance department of the Department of Macroprudential Policy and Financial Stability, where one of her main tasks is to conduct analytical research on the spread of credit supply shocks and their impact on national economies.

ECB GP: This is a 2-year program of the European Central Bank for fresh graduates or final year doctoral students. Successful participants are assigned two complex one-year tasks, each to be performed in a different ECB unit, distributed according to the participants’ areas of competence and taking into account the organizational needs of the bank. Program participants contribute fully to the work of the departments to which they are assigned. During the second year of the program, participants must also write a project paper, which is the basis for evaluating the program. More on the ECB’s GP program can be found here: https://www.ecb.europa.eu/careers/what-we-offer/graduate/html/index.en.html

We are proud of this achievement of Kristina and wish her the best of luck!
