This programme erases the traditional boundaries between the disparate fields of economics, political science, and business.
Studies at ISM provide many development opportunities not only by listening to lectures, but also by participating in politics, debate clubs, and international events.

Comparative politics focuses on a wide range of political aspects and processes that take place between countries, from dictators to political parties, from elections to revolutions. During lectures and seminars, students work with data and engage in simulation games, deepening their understanding of how different political institutions work and their impact.
In this course, you will uncover the secrets of government spending and taxes. The Public Finance/Economics course will provide the tools to critically analyze policy decisions from an economic perspective. Not only will you discuss politics, but you will also understand it. Public finance lectures will bridge the gap between politics and economics, providing knowledge on how to assess the real impact of political actions on economic systems. You will eventually master the art of policy making. By learning how economic theories shape political agendas and influence social outcomes, this knowledge will give you a competitive advantage in any political career or discourse.
Political economy is a cornerstone of the Economics and Politics program, representing the synthesis between economics and politics, which serves as a source of knowledge and a wellspring of inspiration for bachelor's thesis topics. Throughout this course, students not only delve into understanding why various economists proposed different solutions to economic growth, income inequality, and technological progress, but also explore the reasons politicians choose to adopt or disregard economists' recommendations. And, just to clarify, it's certainly not because politicians are unintelligent or irrational.

In my current job, I often use the intercultural communication skills acquired at the university, I also apply strategic thinking in developing a new refugee integration policy in Lithuania. Last year's course in Migration Economics and Politics has definitely paid off: it crystalized all my core values on migration. I also find the knowledge of economics extremely helpful in many areas of my work.

Located in the Heart of Vilnius
We've revitalized a historic building right in the heart of Vilnius. Here, in the lively Gedimino Avenue, you'll find some of Lithuania's largest companies and institutions. From the terrace where our community enjoys coffee together, you'll have a breathtaking view of Gediminas' Tower!
The campus is truly inspiring. I believe that having the opportunity to view the beautiful architecture in this location through G7's large windows is incredibly motivating for students to pursue their goals.

Here, you'll build a strong international network. And if you wish, you'll have the opportunity to earn a double degree with universities in France or Norway.
One of the strongest things I took away from ISM is the belief that I can achieve anything I want. Because during your studies you get to meet people from various cultures, you quickly learn that you have a lot more opportunities and don't necessarily have to limit yourself to one market, such as Lithuania, for example.

At ISM University of Management and Economics, you can apply for studies three times a year during the preliminary, main, and supplementary admissions.
Admission to the ISM University of Management and Economics takes place in three stages.
• Pre-admission takes place from 1 January to 30 April. In this way you can reserve a spot at ISM University with a higher chance of receiving a scholarship and other additional benefits.
• ISM’s internal admission takes place from 1 May to mid-August, during which you must submit an application in the ISM admission system, thus reserving a place at the university.
• From 1 June to the end of August, you can apply through general admissions to higher education institutions (LAMA BPO).
You can learn more about ISM admissions here: https://archive.ism.lt/priemimas/.
ISM pre-admission is a unique opportunity to reserve a study place even before the exams and to have a greater chance of receiving 25%, 75% and 100% ISM scholarships. ISM pre-admission is special in that it evaluates not only academic achievements, but also the applicant’s motivation and extracurricular activities.
The following exams are required for admission to any ISM BA programme:
• Any subject not overlapping with other subjects or annual grade (0.2 points)
State scholarship (vnf/st) is a place with a study scholarship not funded by the state. Students who have passed the exams with the highest scores can receive this scholarship during general admission. At the time of 2023 admission, the state scholarship amounted to EUR 2865 per year.
In order to get a vnf/st study place, this must be selected in the general admission (LAMA BPO) system. It is important to mention that the ISM 75% and “100 Talents” scholarships comprise a state scholarship (vnf/st) and an additional scholarship awarded by the ISM University. Therefore, if a vnf/st study place is not selected during the general admission, applicants will lose the opportunity to receive both the 75% and “100 Talents” scholarships.
If you have a sufficient score and want to secure the opportunity to enter ISM University, we recommend that you choose a vnf/st study place in the LAMA BPO system as the first priority, and a vnf (non-state funded) study place as the second priority.
Applicants who completed their secondary education in foreign educational institutions should apply to the Study Quality Assessment Centre (hereinafter SKVC) regarding the recognition of the education received in foreign institutions and the determination of subject equivalents. If the diploma is recognised and after receiving the subject equivalents the applicant collects a minimum competitive score of 5.4, the applicant has the right to study at ISM University.
If you studied at another Lithuanian or foreign university and want to continue your studies at ISM University, please contact us by e-mail at bs@archive.ism.lt. Admission to higher academic years takes place twice a year. Admission to the autumn semester studies is carried out from 1 July until 15 August. Admission to spring semester studies is carried out from 1 January until 15 January. Together with the application, please submit an academic certificate stating the subjects you studied at the university. Since each case is individual, we will personally provide you with the exact information.
The Career Centre operating at ISM helps each student take firm steps towards a fulfilling career. Meetings with business representatives are organised in cooperation with the best Lithuanian and international companies, and during individual consultations assistance is provided in choosing an organisation according to each student’s personal aspirations, needs and strengths. Every year we can offer students as many as 300 internships in the largest international companies.

Most of the lectures at ISM University are held in English, with the exception of the Business Management and Marketing and Economics and Data Analytics programmes, where part of the lectures are also held in Lithuanian.
