The objective of the module

The purpose of the module is to provide solid foundations for business process management based on basic methodologies and tools, to provide clarity on how to create a process organization and how to develop it.

About module

The business process management module program lays a solid foundation for business process management, introduces the main methodologies and tools (Total Quality Management, Six Sigma, BPTrends, Lean, automation, customer perspective and innovation), provides clarity on how to create a process organization and how to develop it. The participants of the module not only learn about the most popular process management methods, but also delve into the interconnections between business processes, integration with the company's strategy and indicators, and also have the opportunity to see how the discussed methods are applied and try them themselves during experiential visits to companies and preparing their research work. The program maintains a balance between theory and practice, examining the latest research and specific business cases and experiences.

What will you learn?

After completing the module, you will be able to identify and model business processes, visualize the flow of process activities, identify and analyze problems using diagrams. You will learn how to use business improvement measures and tools, gain experience in examining real cases of business process improvement and solving challenges arising in organizations, you will be able to identify the most important processes to be improved, choose suitable methods of improvement, and predict the financing and time planning of such projects.

Steve is a certified ISO Lead Auditor for Quality, Safety, Environment and has a Certificate in Management and Leadership, Diploma in Operations Management, Certificate in Environmental Sustainability and a Green Belt in Six Sigma
Steve was part of the leadership team at Newsprinters, when it
became the first recipient of the Shingo Prize for operational
excellence in the UK. Other achievements with that same team
included: The Global Excellence Award 2014 (the first in the UK), The British Excellence Award for Lean Manufacturing 2011, Environmental Company of the Year 2011, Carbon Trust Triple Standard 2014, Cleanest Manufacturing Site in the UK 2015, Environmental Initiative of the Year 2015 and Newspaper Printers of the Year, 2011, 2012, 2014 and 2016

Verslo procesų valdymo modulio turinys puikiai sukonstruotas, mat teorija proporcingai suderinta su praktika. Pavyzdžiui, paskaitų metu aiškinomės, kas yra pats procesas, kaip juos skirstyti, rūšiuoti, o vėliau gautas žinias taikėme praktiškai, sprendėme konkrečius verslo atvejus. Studijų baigiamasis darbas taip pat buvo itin naudingas. Jo metu nagrinėjau ERP sistemos diegimą, kitaip tariant procesų automatizavimą ir jo sėkmės veiksnius. Atlikdamas šį darbą supratau, kokia klaidas iki šiol dariau diegdamas vienokias ar kitokias sistemas. Be viso to, labai vertinu galimybę studijų metu susitikti su bendraminčiais ir keistis patirtimi su kolegomis

The Business Process Management module is a perspective-changing course, after which every manager will begin to see and evaluate existing processes in their organization differently. The greatest value of this module is the opportunity to understand how any type of organization works, what is its established order of activities and how it can be improved by restructuring the relevant processes, because it is always possible to improve any process and get even more value for the customer and the organization. This module is intended for managers of any chain, but especially for those who can really change a situation or a specific process in their organization.

The Business Process Management module introduced me to a much wider range of business process management tools than I expected - from Lean methods, robotics to innovation and the unlimited possibilities of artificial intelligence.
